MADEWELL™ Portland Cement was introduced in 2002 as a product of Madewell Products Limited, a company incorporated in February, 1987. The cement import terminal installed capacity is currently 3,200 metric tonnes per day. Product will be shipped in 50 kilogramme bags, excluding bulk trucks and 1-1.5 tonne capacity jumbo bags, with estimated annual production in excess of one (1) million metric tonnes.
The factory is located in Jesse (near Sapele), Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State at a river front along the River Ethiope, the deepest river in Africa on a plot of land covering 3.3 hectares. It is linked by a modernized road, which links Warri/Benin Express Road to Jesse Town Express Road, terminating at Efemini Road. The Factory is well fenced at the three sides, with the exception of the water front.
The Plant is built up and currently in production, including three (3) identically-sized independent bagging units which feature 4 (four) bagging nozzles that can fill 50-kilogramme bags at rate of 20 bags/minute.
Three large warehouses measuring 72 metres long by 24 metres wide, with 2 units completed, with the third unit is fully fabricated and is currently being erected. The plant currently operates solely on its own power generation, with two (2) units brand New 500 kVA CAT generators installed and working
The warehouses offer Ingesol Rand Air Compressing Units and 2 (two) 5000S Siwertell Ship-Unloaders units; one units is completed and ready for use, while installation of the second unit is in progress.
